Unusually there is no stamping on this card.  I used my old designer paper, my Elizabeth Craft Designs wreath die was used with copper coloured metallic card, the Holly leaves were die cut from pearlised card and their overlay from rose gold mirror card.  I die cut the Crafters Companion Christmas roses from white flower foam and the Creative Expressions Merry Christmas die was cut from pearlised card too.  Back soon x

It is my favourite stencil because I am always happy with the end results.  I can make it as simple or as fancy as I want.  This time I kept it simple, lol, I used Saltwater Taffy Distress ink pad and quickly dried the stencilled background,  I stamped the Cats with Versafine Clair and then I used a pale grey watercolour pencil to 'ground' my cats.  I also think Saltwater Taffy might be my favourite current Distress ink pad too.  Back soon x

I am finally remembering to use some of my older patterned papers, which feels so very good.  I inked the stamp with the Karin Markers then used watercolour paint to colour the background and the stamped sentiment. I will be back soon x

This turned out better than I expected and it is rich looking partly because of the different rose gold cardstock as well as the pearlised cardstock.  I also used pearlised cardstock, rose gold texture paste and metallic Tonic Studios Nuvo Drops.

The cardstock I used for the overlay detail was an impulse purchase, a Sizzix Rose Gold Surfacez pack which was reduced on Amazon.  It is my favourite cardstock purchase this year, there are five different types, ten sheets of each.  Back soon x

Guest Designer Try It On Tuesday . . .

 

I am back today because I am a Guest Designer at Try It On Tuesday Challenge. I was told the theme for the challenge was Going Round in Circles so here is my card . . .

I decided to create a 148mm Round card.  I started by die cutting a circle card from a square card.  I then die cut multiple decreasing circles of Tonic Studios Mirror and Classic card.  On the smaller Classic card die cut circle I used a Circle stamp with Distress Oxide ink.  I die cut a small circle in white card so that it would be a contrast to the blue and stamped a sentiment.  I finished with the usual Tonic Studios Nuvo Drops.  It was fun to create my first circle card, it won't be my last lol!  My thanks to the team at Try It On Tuesday Challenge for this opportunity.
