I have been having had the most fun with my Creative Expressions birthday present stamps and I still have two images and sentiments to ink lol!  They make it easier for me to create distressed cards.  I am looking forward to playing with them so much more in the next few weeks.

I stamped the image using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.   I coloured the image with watercolours and left to completely dry.  I then used black and grey watercolour paints to distress the area around the girl but being careful not to contaminate the girl or her balloon.  I left that to dry overnight.

I trimmed the stamped panel and inked parts of the edges with Distress ink, black soot.  I added a snippet of DCWV paper to an A6 card and added the panel using foam pads.   I added my last three red pearl embellishments.  Back soon x

I adore these images and the lovely uplifting sentiments they each come with.  This time I dry embossed a piece of Sizzix textured card with a Crafts Too embossing folder.

I stamped the image with VFC Tuxedo ink onto watercolourcard.  I watercoloured the boy,  his balloon and the ground beneath him.  I used Salty Ocean Distress ink and MFT stencil with Clarity Crafts stencil brushes to create the sky.  I sprayed the images with water and left to dry.

I stamped the sentiment onto a snippet white card and trimmed.  I trimmed the stamped panel and added Tonic Studios 3D Glaze to the balloon and left to dry overnight.

I figured out the layout the added the stamped panels to the card using foam pads.   I added Tonic Studios Nuvo Drops to finish.   Back soon x

I used multiple small snippets to die cut John Next Door poinsettia and holly from Sizzix texture card and it took ages to die cut enough.  I won't be doing it that way again lol!  I layered up the poinsettia's with glue and left to dry.

I stamped the House Mouse image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink at the top of the die cut.  I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of the die cut.  I coloured the inside of the images with alcohol markers, adding more colour where shadow.

I attached a Post It note across the scalloped die cut and coloured around the image with alcohol markers.  I binned the Post It note.  I attached the scalloped square to the Sizzix glitter card using brads and put to one side.  I covered the front of a 148mm square card with the last piece of a 12" square paper.  I figured out the layout then used foam pads to attached the stamped square.  I adhered the poinsettia's and holly with silicon glue gel.

Next I attached a strip of adhesive on the left hand side and attached the paper strips in a repeating pattern.  I then wove each strip in and out and adding double side tape along the right hand side and at the bottom.  I trimmed all the excess paper pieces.

I die cut a Tonic Studios tag from watercolour card, Creative Expressions sentiment die and John Next Door foliage from SizzixTextured card.  I put the foliage and sentiment aside.

I stamped and heat embossed the stag from Tim Holtz Reindeer Flight stamp set using Versafine Clair Pinecone ink and Sweet Dixie clear embossing powder.   I stamped the trees using Versafine Clair Pinecone and Rain Forest inks.

I added water across the whole of the bottom half of the tag avoiding the reindeer.  Then added a lovely green watercolour paint.  I left that to dry overnight.  The next day I added water to the top half of the tag then used a rosy pink watercolour to create the start of a sunset and I added a pale yellow to the very top to represent the sun going down.  I left to dry overnight again.

I threaded ribbon through, adhered the die cuts and finished with Tonic Studios Nuvo Drops.   Back soon x

ABC Christmas Challenge S for Stencils
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Make Your Own Background (1/5)
Word Art Wednesday Challenge #665/666 Anything Goes (5/10)

My background was a failed experiment but rather than bin it I decided to recycle it.  It was originally a watercolour background.  I die cut the tag using a Tonic Studios tag die.

I used a Tonic Studios Nuvo Shimmer Spray which I watered down and sprayed the tag to cover the failed watercolour BG then dried.  I used Distress Oxide to darken random areas.  I dried the ink then used Tonic Studios Nuvo Glimmer Paste through a Tim Holtz stencil.  I put to one side to dry.

I die cut Crafters Companion snowflake die cuts in matt silver card.  I die cut John Next Door Snowflower and a foliage die, and a Creative Expressions sentiment.  I die cut watercolour card using a Clarity square die.

I stamped the AALL & Create Robin image using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto the die cut watercolour card and onto a snippet of watercolour card.  I used a My Favourite Things Cloud stencil and Distress ink to create the clouds.  Then I watercoloured the stamped images and left to dry.

I fussy cut the snippet robin and shaped him.  I added him to the stamped robin square using Pinflair Glue Gel.  I glued the die cuts directly onto the tag.  I added the stamped panel with foam pads then finished with Tonic Studios Nuvo Drops.  Back soon x

The Four Seasons Challenge September is Fall (2/3)

Word Art Wednesday Challenge #665/666 Anything Goes (4/10)

I used the same Craft Stash TEXT(tures) Butterfly Definition by Lou Collins stamp set again.  I love that both the butterflies and the dictionary definition are one stamp.  This time I used more watered down watercolours on the butterflies so that the look is completely different to the coloured image at the beginning of the month.

I stamped the Butterfly stamp using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto watercolour card.  I watercoloured the image then left to dry.

I die cut Crafters Companion Mixed Media In a Spin die, Creative Expressions Happy Birthday die and Tonic Studios mini butterfly die from Sizzix Textured card.  I used my Tim Holtz Distress tool to distress all four edges of my stamped panel then edged with Bard Door Distress ink which I sprayed with water to soften the ink to watercolour blending.

I used a snippet of designer paper to cover a DL card.  I adhered the In a Spin die cuts and I attached a piece of white lace.   I added the stamped panel with foam pads and glued the mini butterfly in position.  I attached the sentiment below the stamped panel then added the Tonic Studios Nuvo Drops to finish.   Back soon x
